1988 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 — question: Steering oscillation after hitting a bump

On certain rough highway sections the steering can start oscillating after a bump. Slowing down stops it. I'm looking for a diagnostic checklist rather than just installing a stronger stabilizer.

Following up on question: steering oscillation after hitting a bump: still happening, but I have better notes now. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd wait for the actual TSB/recall population, not the headline. Check whether your 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser VIN is actually in the affected batch before you plan a dealer day. I'd do that before spending real money. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
