2004 Honda S2000 — infotainment became glitchy after an OTA update

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. 2004 Honda S2000, about 222,000 miles. After a software update the screen occasionally reboots and one saved setting keeps resetting. Is there a normal post-update reset procedure owners should try before booking service?

Ask what changed right before it started. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2004 Honda S2000, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2004 Honda S2000 is losing coolant with no puddle. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “infotainment became glitchy after an ota update,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

This is from a 2004 Honda S2000 in Connecticut with 222,000 miles. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Capture voltage while the 2004 Honda S2000 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. No need to make it theatrical. Heat soak after errands is the other window.
