2006 Mazda RX-8 — a/C is cold on the highway but warm at stoplights

2006 Mazda RX-8 Sport, about 67,000 miles. The A/C works well with road speed but gets noticeably warmer at long lights, then cools again almost immediately once moving. Does that point more toward airflow/fan behavior than refrigerant level?

Ask what changed right before it started. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2006 Mazda RX-8 and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Capture voltage while the 2006 Mazda RX-8 is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. Same neighborhood, different next step: If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2006 Mazda RX-8, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. On “8 — a/c is cold on the,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2006 Mazda RX-8 in Denver with 67,000 miles. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.
