2006 Mazda RX-8 Sport — anyone else: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them?

I would not stare at the monthly. If one piece looks too good on the 2006 Mazda RX-8, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2006 Mazda RX-8 in Austin. That's the whole play. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2006 Mazda RX-8 numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. This is from a 2006 Mazda RX-8 in Austin. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Agree — and I'd add this: A written buyer’s order on the 2006 Mazda RX-8 is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Yes, with one caveat: Call your insurer in Austin before you fall in love with the 2006 Mazda RX-8. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “8 sport — anyone else: cpo luxury,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I screenshotted the quote for later.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2006 Mazda RX-8 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.
