2006 Mazda RX-8 Sport — recall shows for my model but not my VIN

PistonShopper69Community StarterJul 12, 20262006 Mazda RX-8 SportBoston / New England
2006 Mazda RX-8 Sport, about 78,000 miles. I saw a recall announcement that includes my model year, but my VIN currently shows no open recall. Is that usually because only a subset is affected, or can VIN databases lag behind an announcement? I'm in Boston / New England. I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts. Ambient temp was about 92°F when I noticed it.

Software recalls make me ask how much of 'driving' lives in a module now. If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2006 Mazda RX-8 ownership costs yet. I'd do that before spending real money. Was this after sitting overnight? That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Thanks — that narrowed it. I'm going to try the simpler check on the 2006 Mazda RX-8 first. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If this is a 2027 reveal, I wouldn't map it onto today's 2006 Mazda RX-8 ownership costs yet. Then you'll know the next fork. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
