2018 Honda Civic — how much does an old accident hurt resale?

2018 Honda Civic Si, about 42,000 miles. Car was repaired well after a moderate accident and drives straight. I am trying to price it honestly several years later. How much do buyers usually discount history compared with equivalent clean-history cars?

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2018 Honda Civic owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2018 Honda Civic, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2018 Honda Civic in Brooklyn, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. I'd do that before spending real money. On “how much does an old accident hurt,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. That's my plan before I call anyone.
