News says my model year is involved, but the VIN lookup shows no open recall. Is that usually because only certain build ranges are affected, or can the databases lag?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
