2018 Mitsubishi Outlander — open carrier or enclosed for a normal enthusiast car?

The car is valuable to me but not exotic. Enclosed transport costs noticeably more.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander notes. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I'd rather be boring and correct. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

Quick add on that: Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “open carrier or enclosed for a normal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. That's my plan before I call anyone.

I asked about open carrier or enclosed for a normal again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Ask for out-the-door on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “open carrier or enclosed for a normal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “open carrier or enclosed for a normal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. That's my plan before I call anyone.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Agree — and I'd add this: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “open carrier or enclosed for a normal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. Just my two cents from doing this recently. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If one piece looks too good on the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I would not stare at the monthly. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Bay Area before you fall in love with the 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “open carrier or enclosed for a normal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander in Bay Area. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
