2019 Lexus GS — car pulls right even though alignment is green

TrailGeek611Community StarterJan 1, 20262019 Lexus GS 350New Jersey
2019 Lexus GS 350, about 104,000 miles. Alignment printout is within spec, but the car still wants to drift right on a flat road. Tire pressures match. Would you cross-rotate tires to check radial pull, or look harder at caster/camber side-to-side?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2019 Lexus GS, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “car pulls right even though alignment is,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2019 Lexus GS in New Jersey with 104,000 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Log the conditions before you spend. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2019 Lexus GS, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “car pulls right even though alignment is,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. Heat soak after errands is the other window.

Log the conditions before you spend. Move a coil or plug on the 2019 Lexus GS if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “car pulls right even though alignment is,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2019 Lexus GS in New Jersey with 104,000 miles. When does it actually happen? If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.

Same neighborhood, different next step: If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2019 Lexus GS, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2019 Lexus GS in New Jersey with 104,000 miles. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Tried a second charger / second scan and the story on the 2019 Lexus GS didn't change. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2019 Lexus GS, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2019 Lexus GS in New Jersey with 104,000 miles. Stop there until you know. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

It did car pulls right even though alignment is twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2019 Lexus GS catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Capture voltage while the 2019 Lexus GS is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2019 Lexus GS in New Jersey with 104,000 miles. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2019 Lexus GS, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. Do that first. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2019 Lexus GS catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Ask what changed right before it started. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2019 Lexus GS, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2019 Lexus GS does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Stop there until you know. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I keep a notes app thread for this now.
