2019 Ram 2500 — safest way to handle a test drive with a stranger — trying to narrow this down

2019 Ram 2500 Cummins, about 58,500 miles. I am selling privately for the first time. I want serious buyers to drive the car but do not want to be careless with keys, insurance, license info or where we meet. What is a sensible process? I am in Detroit.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. If the 2019 Ram 2500 still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. That's where I'd start. No need to make it theatrical. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2019 Ram 2500, not a parking lot at night. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2019 Ram 2500 in Detroit with 58,500 miles. That's the whole play. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2019 Ram 2500, not a parking lot at night. Then you'll know the next fork. On “safest way to handle a test drive,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the whole play. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2019 Ram 2500 is enough reason to walk. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.
