2020 Toyota Tundra — huge doc fee: argue about fee or total price?

TowTunerCommunity StarterMar 30, 20262020 Toyota Tundra SR5Portland
One dealer documentation fee is much higher than others nearby. Is it better to stop arguing about the label and just negotiate the overall out-the-door number? Mostly looking for the right next step.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2020 Toyota Tundra so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. On “huge doc fee: argue about fee or,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If one piece looks too good on the 2020 Toyota Tundra, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
