2021 Lexus ES — car pulls right even though alignment is green

NewCarNomadCommunity StarterJul 4, 20262021 Lexus ES 350Nashville
2021 Lexus ES 350, about 107,500 miles. Alignment printout is within spec, but the car still wants to drift right on a flat road. Tire pressures match. Would you cross-rotate tires to check radial pull, or look harder at caster/camber side-to-side?

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2021 Lexus ES, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

OP update: scanned the 2021 Lexus ES again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Not driving it hard until I know more.

If it were in my driveway, get a real battery/charging test on the 2021 Lexus ES, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2021 Lexus ES in Nashville with 107,500 miles. That's the sequence I'd use. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

If it were in my driveway, a pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2021 Lexus ES is losing coolant with no puddle. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2021 Lexus ES catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Capture voltage while the 2021 Lexus ES is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “car pulls right even though alignment is,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Ask what changed right before it started. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2021 Lexus ES catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'll update if anything new shows up.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2021 Lexus ES, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2021 Lexus ES, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2021 Lexus ES in Nashville with 107,500 miles. That's the sequence I'd use. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2021 Lexus ES and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I'll poke at it this weekend.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2021 Lexus ES does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2021 Lexus ES in Nashville with 107,500 miles. Stop there until you know. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2021 Lexus ES and see if the fault moves. That's the branch I'd chase this week. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2021 Lexus ES catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “car pulls right even though alignment is,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

Ask what changed right before it started. Move a coil or plug on the 2021 Lexus ES if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
