2021 Lexus ES — dealer keeps discussing monthly payment instead of OTD

TrailGeek73Community StarterDec 23, 20252021 Lexus ES 350Denver
2021 Lexus ES 350, about 59,500 miles. Every time I ask for sale price and fees, the conversation goes back to monthly payment. I am bringing my own financing. Is there any reason not to insist on a full buyer order before going in? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2021 Lexus ES price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2021 Lexus ES in Denver with 59,500 miles. No need to make it theatrical. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2021 Lexus ES, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. No need to make it theatrical. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.
