2021 Range Rover Sport — cPO badge versus independent PPI

2021 Range Rover Sport HSE, about 32,500 miles. The dealer says the car passed the manufacturer CPO inspection and suggests an outside inspection is unnecessary. I like the warranty but still want an independent PPI. Overkill or sensible? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money. What would you check next?

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2021 Range Rover Sport and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Any freeze-frame data saved? If they only talk monthly I'm walking.

Fair point. Counterpoint: If one piece looks too good on the 2021 Range Rover Sport, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2021 Range Rover Sport in Salt Lake City with 32,500 miles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

That's the part that actually changes the decision. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. Call your insurer in Salt Lake City before you fall in love with the 2021 Range Rover Sport. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “cpo badge versus independent ppi,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2021 Range Rover Sport is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Sleeping on the number either way.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2021 Range Rover Sport so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2021 Range Rover Sport so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer.
