2022 Cadillac Escalade — car died once at a light and restarted immediately — anyone dealt with this recently?

2022 Cadillac Escalade Sport, about 79,500 miles. The engine shut off at a stop once, restarted right away, and has been normal since. No warning stayed on. What data or checks would you prioritize before trusting it on a long trip? Mostly looking for the right next step. What would you check next?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Save the big job until that test fails. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. No warning lights, which is why I'm documenting it.

If it were in my driveway, write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Cadillac Escalade does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Ask what changed right before it started. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2022 Cadillac Escalade does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'll poke at it this weekend.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

OP update: scanned the 2022 Cadillac Escalade again and still only have the one pending code, no new lights. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. This is from a 2022 Cadillac Escalade in Las Vegas with 79,500 miles. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Log the conditions before you spend. Capture voltage while the 2022 Cadillac Escalade is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.
