2022 Genesis GV70 3.5T — alternator whine after adding a DSP amp

GarageMilesCommunity StarterFeb 18, 20262022 Genesis GV70 3.5TDMV / Maryland
System is clean with the engine off, but as soon as it starts I get a high-pitched whine that follows RPM. I already checked the obvious grounds. What is the most efficient order for isolating whether the noise is power, signal, or routing? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop. Ambient temp was about 45°F when I noticed it.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2022 Genesis GV70 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Write down what you already tried. A second data point from another 2022 Genesis GV70 owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in DMV / Maryland. When does it actually happen? Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I parked the 2022 Genesis GV70 and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
