2022 Genesis GV70 — two nearly identical cars are priced $4k apart

DailyNomadCommunity StarterApr 20, 20262022 Genesis GV70 3.5TOrange County
Same year, trim and similar mileage, but two listings are thousands apart. One is CPO and one is not. How would you quantify condition, warranty, history and dealer reputation?

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2022 Genesis GV70 numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Genesis GV70 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. Two 2022 Genesis GV70 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2022 Genesis GV70 in Orange County. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Call your insurer in Orange County before you fall in love with the 2022 Genesis GV70. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “two nearly identical cars are priced $4k,” that was the fork that mattered for me. That's the sequence I'd use. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2022 Genesis GV70 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. No need to make it theatrical. Worth doing even if the car feels fine right now. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Walk if they won't put it on a buyer’s order. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2022 Genesis GV70 price probably got worse. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
