2022 Honda Accord — car died once at a light and restarted immediately — anyone dealt with this recently?

2022 Honda Accord 2.0T Sport, about 60,500 miles. The engine shut off at a stop once, restarted right away, and has been normal since. No warning stayed on. What data or checks would you prioritize before trusting it on a long trip?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Honda Accord catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2022 Honda Accord, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Any freeze-frame data saved? A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Capture voltage while the 2022 Honda Accord is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. I'll poke at it this weekend.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2022 Honda Accord catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 2022 Honda Accords can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Capture voltage while the 2022 Honda Accord is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Any freeze-frame data saved? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Agree — and I'd add this: Move a coil or plug on the 2022 Honda Accord if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2022 Honda Accord is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Doing the boring step first on purpose.
