2023 Acura Integra A-Spec — anyone else: Fun daily that still works for one-car ownership

NorthBuilder23Community StarterJan 9, 20262023 Acura Integra A-SpecCharlotte
2023 Acura Integra A-Spec, about 1,200 miles. I want something I enjoy on back roads but still need to commute, carry luggage and survive bad weather. Trying to avoid buying a car that only makes sense on paper. What compromises have actually mattered after a year? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Acura Integra and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2023 Acura Integra in Charlotte with 1,200 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. In Charlotte, insurance quotes flipped a 2023 Acura Integra comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Stop there until you know. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

OP update: I got two written quotes on the 2023 Acura Integra and the out-the-door gap is bigger than the ads made it look. That's my plan before I call anyone.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2023 Acura Integra (1,200 miles) and the doc fee was the tell. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Acura Integra so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “spec — anyone else: fun daily that,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Acura Integra with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Acura Integra and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Acura Integra with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. This is from a 2023 Acura Integra in Charlotte with 1,200 miles. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

OP update: I got two written quotes on the 2023 Acura Integra and the out-the-door gap is bigger than the ads made it look. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

I would not stare at the monthly. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Acura Integra price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2023 Acura Integra in Charlotte with 1,200 miles. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Make the next action something you can finish this week. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

If I were shopping this, if they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Acura Integra price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

I hear you, though I'd still want a second check. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2023 Acura Integra numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Charlotte before you fall in love with the 2023 Acura Integra. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “spec — anyone else: fun daily that,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

Fair point. Counterpoint: In Charlotte, insurance quotes flipped a 2023 Acura Integra comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. If the title is messy I'm out, full stop.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Acura Integra with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. On “spec — anyone else: fun daily that,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Acura Integra in Charlotte with 1,200 miles. When does it actually happen? If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Acura Integra so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2023 Acura Integra. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

If I were shopping this, in Charlotte, insurance quotes flipped a 2023 Acura Integra comparison for me more than the sale price did. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Asking because it changes the advice: I would not wire money until I've seen the 2023 Acura Integra and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2023 Acura Integra. This is the version I'd tell a friend.
