2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 — open carrier or enclosed for a normal enthusiast car?

ProjectMom166Community StarterApr 23, 20262023 Mercedes-AMG C43Chicago
The car is valuable to me but not exotic. Enclosed transport costs noticeably more. When is the extra protection actually worth paying for versus a reputable open carrier?

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. That's the whole play. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 price probably got worse. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

If I were shopping this, two 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 in Chicago. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 in Chicago. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

OP update: I got two written quotes on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 and the out-the-door gap is bigger than the ads made it look. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Chicago before you fall in love with the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43. If they balk, that's your answer. On “amg c43 — open carrier or enclosed,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. If they balk, that's your answer. On “amg c43 — open carrier or enclosed,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2023 Mercedes-AMG C43 in Chicago. Have you gotten a second quote in writing? I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

That's the part that actually changes the decision. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.
