2023 Nissan Z Performance — can I go one inch smaller for winter wheels?

2023 Nissan Z Performance, about 1,200 miles. Looking at a smaller-diameter winter setup for more sidewall. Main concern is brake clearance and keeping total tire diameter close. What measurements do you verify before ordering? If I fix it I'll come back and update the thread.

This is a climate question as much as a tire question. In Los Angeles, dedicated winters on the 2023 Nissan Z paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. I'd do that before spending real money. Monthly payment math is how wallets disappear. If it repeats twice more I'll book time.

Not convinced that's the whole story. In Los Angeles, dedicated winters on the 2023 Nissan Z paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. I'd do that before spending real money. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

This is a climate question as much as a tire question. If Los Angeles only sees a few real storms, a good all-weather on the 2023 Nissan Z can be the saner daily. Then you'll know the next fork. On “can i go one inch smaller for,” that was the fork that mattered for me. The universe charges extra for guessing. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

I parked the 2023 Nissan Z and wrote down what I already tested so I'm not repeating myself. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Salt and cold mornings punish cheap shortcuts. In Los Angeles, dedicated winters on the 2023 Nissan Z paid off more than I expected on ice, even on plowed roads. I'd do that before spending real money. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
