2024 Buick Envision — steering wheel shakes only under highway braking — anyone dealt with this recently?

GarageWrench215Community StarterApr 10, 20262024 Buick Envision AvenirDetroit
2024 Buick Envision Avenir, about 51,500 miles. Cruising is smooth, but braking from highway speed makes the steering wheel shake. Pads still have material. Would you start with rotor runout/thickness variation, hub condition or suspension bushings? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

Log the conditions before you spend. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Buick Envision does it — then decide on parts. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “steering wheel shakes only under highway braking,” that was the fork that mattered for me. When does it actually happen? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. Only after sitting overnight so far.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Buick Envision catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Buick Envision in Detroit with 51,500 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Asking because it changes the advice: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Buick Envision catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. That's the whole play. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
