2024 Buick Envision — water spots keep coming back after correction

NewCarPilotCommunity StarterDec 27, 20252024 Buick Envision AvenirNashville
2024 Buick Envision Avenir, about 29,500 miles. Paint looked perfect after polishing, but water spotting returns after outdoor washes. I do not want to keep removing clear coat. What process change would you make first? I am in Nashville.

Log the conditions before you spend. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Buick Envision catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “water spots keep coming back after correction,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

OP here — recorded a short video and noted speed, temp, and whether it was in gear. Video is ugly but it shows the hesitation.

Not convinced that's the whole story. Two 2024 Buick Envisions can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Write the result down so the next test isn't a repeat of the last one. I keep a notes app thread for this now.

Ask what changed right before it started. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Buick Envision if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2024 Buick Envision in Nashville with 29,500 miles. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. Only after sitting overnight so far.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Buick Envision, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Was this after sitting overnight? I'd rather be boring and correct. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Buick Envision is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “water spots keep coming back after correction,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.
