2024 Lexus RX — factory order status has not moved in weeks — anyone dealt with this recently?

RoadTripPilot788Community StarterNov 17, 20252024 Lexus RX 350hAtlanta
2024 Lexus RX 350h, about 24,500 miles. Dealer gave me an order/reference number but the status has been unchanged for weeks. For people who have ordered cars, what updates are meaningful versus normal waiting between milestones? I am in Atlanta.

If I were shopping this, i would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Lexus RX and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Do that first. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2024 Lexus RX so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Lexus RX, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2024 Lexus RX in Atlanta with 24,500 miles. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Lexus RX is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. That's the sequence I'd use. I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Lexus RX numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Lexus RX numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Lexus RX in Atlanta with 24,500 miles. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Climate here is different, so treat that as a local data point. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2024 Lexus RX (24,500 miles) and the doc fee was the tell. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2024 Lexus RX notes. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. In Atlanta, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Lexus RX comparison for me more than the sale price did. Then the comparison gets honest. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Not convinced that's the whole story. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Lexus RX and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. This is from a 2024 Lexus RX in Atlanta with 24,500 miles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Quick add on that: A written buyer’s order on the 2024 Lexus RX is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Lexus RX, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

I would not stare at the monthly. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Lexus RX and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2024 Lexus RX so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “factory order status has not moved in,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Asking because it changes the advice: I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Lexus RX and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2024 Lexus RX in Atlanta with 24,500 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2024 Lexus RX and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. That's the part that actually changes the decision. This is from a 2024 Lexus RX in Atlanta with 24,500 miles. Was this after sitting overnight? If they only talk monthly I'm walking.
