2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata — battery dies after the car sits for a weekend — Long Island owner question

Battery passes a quick test and charging voltage looks normal, but after two or three days parked the car sometimes will not crank. What is the cleanest parasitic-draw test on a modern car that takes time to go to sleep? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

Log the conditions before you spend. Capture voltage while the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata is actually failing — after it restarts you've lost the clue. Save the big job until that test fails. On “5 miata — battery dies after the,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

If it were in my driveway, loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. That's the sequence I'd use. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.

Fair point. Counterpoint: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. I'll poke at it this weekend.

It did 5 miata — battery dies after the twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I already checked the easy fluid levels.
