2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata — car died once at a light and restarted immediately

2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club, about 14,000 miles. The engine shut off at a stop once, restarted right away, and has been normal since. No warning stayed on. What data or checks would you prioritize before trusting it on a long trip?

Cleared nothing. I want service to see the alert on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata first. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Ask what changed right before it started. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata and see if the fault moves. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. This is from a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Cleveland with 14,000 miles. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. On “5 miata — car died once at,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Just my two cents from doing this recently. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

It did 5 miata — car died once at twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Asking because it changes the advice: Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. This is from a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Cleveland with 14,000 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' Heat soak after errands is the other window.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. Save the big job until that test fails. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Make the next action something you can finish this week. Happens in gear, not in park, for what that's worth.
