2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club — new pads squeal more than the old ones

2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club, about 14,500 miles. I replaced pads and rotors and now the brakes squeal at low speed even though stopping performance is good. Hardware was cleaned and lubricated. Is some noise normal during bedding or should I pull everything apart again? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop. What am I missing?

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Move a coil or plug on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Detroit with 14,500 miles. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Agree — and I'd add this: Two 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miatas can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. On “5 miata club — new pads squeal,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I'll poke at it this weekend.
