2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata Club, about 20,000 miles. I am trying to balance purchase price against downtime and surprise repairs. Would you put the same budget into an older proven car with cash left over, or a newer car with warranty coverage? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses.

If I were shopping this, in Queens, insurance quotes flipped a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata comparison for me more than the sale price did. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. This is from a 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Queens with 20,000 miles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata numbers without them. Do that before you talk monthly again. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If one piece looks too good on the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Then the comparison gets honest. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
