2024 Mitsubishi Outlander — buying a car 1,200 miles away without seeing it

A hard-to-find spec is several states away. Dealer has provided video and history, but I have not seen it in person. What is the best remote-buy checklist before sending money? Interested in real owner experience more than guesses. What would you check next?

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander is enough reason to walk. Then you'll know the next fork. No need to make it theatrical. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander. That's where I'd start. On “buying a car 1,200 miles away without,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. That's my plan before I call anyone.
