2024 Ram 1500 Limited — payload sticker changed my whole truck-shopping plan

2024 Ram 1500 Limited, about 4,800 miles. I was focused on tow rating until I started adding passengers, gear and tongue weight. Now payload looks like the real limit. How much buffer do you personally leave for a family towing setup? I'm in Philadelphia. I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2024 Ram 1500 before a big repair or a big spend. That's where I'd start. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Ram 1500 in Philadelphia, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. That's where I'd start. On “payload sticker changed my whole truck-shopping plan,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2024 Ram 1500 in Philadelphia with 4,800 miles. Stop there until you know. That's my plan before I call anyone.
