2024 Ram 1500 Limited — question: Air down for trails but still drive pavement between sections

Trail system has short paved sections between dirt. What's a sensible pressure strategy if I don't want to air up/down every 10 minutes but also don't want to overheat the tires? I'm in North Jersey. Any data points from owners would help.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 2024 Ram 1500s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. On “question: air down for trails but still,” that was the fork that mattered for me. The universe charges extra for guessing. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2024 Ram 1500 does it — then decide on parts. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2024 Ram 1500, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Any freeze-frame data saved? Heat soak after errands is the other window.
