2025 Lucid Air Pure — anyone else: Used truck versus new compact pickup

EcoDailyCommunity StarterAug 9, 20262025 Lucid Air PureAustin
Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Insurance and tax belong in the comparison, not as a surprise. Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Lucid Air with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “anyone else: used truck versus new compact,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Stop there until you know. If your situation is the opposite, ignore me. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

If I were shopping this, two 2025 Lucid Air quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Lucid Air with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. Do that before you talk monthly again. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. If one piece looks too good on the 2025 Lucid Air, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. That's the part that actually changes the decision. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.
