2025 Toyota Camry — advertised price jumps thousands at the desk

The advertised used-car price was competitive, but the worksheet includes protection packages, tracking equipment and other preinstalled items that were not obvious online. How do you compare the real OTD price across dealers? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

Walked a dealership this week on the 2025 Toyota Camry and the doc fee was the tell. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. If one piece looks too good on the 2025 Toyota Camry, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2025 Toyota Camry so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.

Quick add on that: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2025 Toyota Camry numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “advertised price jumps thousands at the desk,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.
