2025 Toyota Camry — buying a car 1,200 miles away without seeing it

A hard-to-find spec is several states away. Dealer has provided video and history, but I have not seen it in person.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2025 Toyota Camry. Then you'll know the next fork. This is from a 2025 Toyota Camry in Cleveland with 1,200 miles. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' A day of patience here is cheaper than a wrong part. If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. Independent PPI on the 2025 Toyota Camry is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” Then you'll know the next fork. If it doesn't change the out-the-door or the repair estimate, it's noise. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2025 Toyota Camry, not a parking lot at night. Then you'll know the next fork. On “buying a car 1,200 miles away without,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. This is the filter I use when the thread starts repeating itself. If GAP is bundled I'm making them unbundle it.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2025 Toyota Camry is enough reason to walk. That's where I'd start. No need to make it theatrical. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Title status is the whole conversation. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2025 Toyota Camry, not a parking lot at night. I'd do that before spending real money. That's the sequence I'd use. Sleeping on the number either way.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2025 Toyota Camry notes. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A rushed deposit before you can inspect the 2025 Toyota Camry is enough reason to walk. Then you'll know the next fork. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I asked about buying a car 1,200 miles away without again and they still won't put GAP/add-ons on their own lines. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.

Agree — and I'd add this: Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2025 Toyota Camry. Then you'll know the next fork.
