2025 Toyota Camry — how much room below MSRP when inventory is normal? — Los Angeles owner

ShopHauler301Community StarterNov 30, 20252025 Toyota Camry XSELos Angeles
I am shopping a new car with several similar units sitting nearby. Dealer started at MSRP plus fees. What is the best way to use competing written quotes without turning the process into endless back-and-forth? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

Update from me: I finally have sale price, fees, and trade on separate lines for the 2025 Toyota Camry. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

Don't get cute with the meetup or the payment. If the 2025 Toyota Camry still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. Then you'll know the next fork. Just my two cents from doing this recently. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

I'd treat this like cash with a paper trail. Meet at a bank or dealer title office for the 2025 Toyota Camry, not a parking lot at night. That's where I'd start. On “how much room below msrp when inventory,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

Private-party deals fail on paperwork, not vibes. If the 2025 Toyota Camry still shows a lien, coordinate payoff with the lender before any cash changes hands. Then you'll know the next fork. That's the whole play. Doc fee is the line I'm watching.

Same neighborhood, different next step: Independent PPI on the 2025 Toyota Camry is cheap insurance versus a seller who “already had a friend look at it.” Then you'll know the next fork. On “how much room below msrp when inventory,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Title status is the whole conversation. Bill of sale, VIN, odometer, and names matching the title — I'd want all four on the 2025 Toyota Camry. I'd do that before spending real money. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.
