2025 Toyota Camry — should I negotiate the trade and purchase separately? — Philadelphia owner

I have a trade with some equity and I am buying another car. Dealer wants to talk only in payment numbers. Would you settle sale price first, then trade value, then financing so each piece stays visible? I would rather test this logically than replace parts. I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

I would not stare at the monthly. If they're pushing term length to shrink the payment, the 2025 Toyota Camry price probably got worse. That's the part that actually changes the decision. Take it or leave it — that's what I'd do. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Ask for out-the-door on the 2025 Toyota Camry with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. On “should i negotiate the trade and purchase,” that was the fork that mattered for me. This is from a 2025 Toyota Camry in Philadelphia. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Treat this like a math problem, not a vibe. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2025 Toyota Camry so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. PPI guy I use is booked until next week, so I'm waiting.
