Question: CX-5 turbo oil level drops before service interval

2021 Mazda CX-5 Turbo, about 118,000 miles. I'm seeing the oil level fall enough between services that I now check it regularly. No obvious leak. For other turbo owners, what documentation/tests did you collect before bringing an oil-consumption concern to the dealer? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

Log the conditions before you spend. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2021 Mazda CX-5, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “cx-5 turbo oil level drops before service,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Was this after sitting overnight? Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Two 2021 Mazda CX-5s can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. The universe charges extra for guessing. I already checked the easy fluid levels.

Fair point. Counterpoint: A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2021 Mazda CX-5 is losing coolant with no puddle. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. That's coming from doing this as an owner, not a shop. Checking again after work.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2021 Mazda CX-5 and see if the fault moves. That's the branch I'd chase this week. This is from a 2021 Mazda CX-5 in Michigan with 118,000 miles. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.
