Question: Rental-platform car came back with damage that wasn't obvious at pickup

2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, about 151,000 miles. Small damage was noticed after the handoff photos were reviewed. For hosts, what inspection/photo workflow actually makes claims easier without turning every pickup into a 30-minute process? Appreciate any ideas on what to check first.

Same neighborhood, different next step: A second data point from another 2023 Toyota 4Runner owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. I'd do that before spending real money. When does it actually happen? I'd sleep better after that step, even if it finds nothing. This is the version I'd tell a friend.

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2023 Toyota 4Runner before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. If it still isn't clear on the 2023 Toyota 4Runner, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. Parts cannon is a personality type I try to avoid. Make the next action something you can finish this week. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.
