Question: Used truck versus new compact pickup

BoostedCollectorCommunity StarterDec 24, 20252024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-RoadMichigan
Same money buys an older full-size truck with capability I may never use or a newer compact truck with better fuel economy and warranty. Anyone make this switch and regret the smaller truck? Trying to diagnose before I book a shop.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. That's where I'd start. This is from a 2024 Toyota Tacoma in Michigan. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'm keeping receipts and dates in one folder.

Owner notes beat generic advice here. On the 2024 Toyota Tacoma in Michigan, I'd fix the thing you'll notice every day before chasing spec-sheet extras. Then you'll know the next fork. On “used truck versus new compact pickup,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If they can't show the line item, I assume it's hiding. That's my plan before I call anyone.
