1972 Chevrolet C10 — advertised price jumps thousands at the desk

This started as a small annoyance and I finally decided to track it down. The advertised used-car price was competitive, but the worksheet includes protection packages, tracking equipment and other preinstalled items that were not obvious online. How do you compare the real OTD price across dealers?

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Call your insurer in Boston before you fall in love with the 1972 Chevrolet C10. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “advertised price jumps thousands at the desk,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. I would not wire money until I've seen the 1972 Chevrolet C10 and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Calling insurance in the morning before I reply to the desk.
