2007 Toyota Camry — humming rises with road speed, not engine RPM — buyer question from Orange County

2007 Toyota Camry LE, about 135,000 miles. There is a low hum that rises with road speed regardless of engine RPM. Turning slightly left or right changes the sound. Is that enough to suspect a wheel bearing, or what else should I rule out? If I figure it out I will update the thread. What would you check next?

I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2007 Toyota Camry before a big repair or a big spend. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2007 Toyota Camry in Orange County with 135,000 miles. Keep sale price, fees, and rate as three different conversations. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Yes, with one caveat: A second data point from another 2007 Toyota Camry owner helps more than a generic diagnosis. That's where I'd start. A shop burned me once by skipping that step. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

Don't overfit one forum story to your car. If it still isn't clear on the 2007 Toyota Camry, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. I'd do that before spending real money. This is from a 2007 Toyota Camry in Orange County with 135,000 miles. Any freeze-frame data saved? I'm in no rush to be a hero on it.

Useful. I'll report back after I verify that on my 2007 Toyota Camry. If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.
