I'd keep this practical. Verify the cheap/easy branch on the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 before a big repair or a big spend. Then you'll know the next fork. I'd want that in writing, not as a promise. Your commute and mine probably aren't the same, but the test still applies. Doing the boring step first on purpose.

Not convinced that's the whole story. If it still isn't clear on the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, a specialist hour can be cheaper than another round of parts. Then you'll know the next fork.
