2015 BMW 335i — driver seat clicks during left-right transitions

2015 BMW 335i, about 152,500 miles. I can feel a small click through the seat base in corners. Mounting bolts appear tight and power functions work. How do you isolate rail play versus the frame or motor mechanism?

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2015 BMW 335i catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Don't erase codes until someone who can help has seen them. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I've seen both outcomes, which is why I'd test instead of assume. That's my plan before I call anyone.

If it were in my driveway, swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2015 BMW 335i and see if the fault moves. You'll know quickly if you're on the wrong tree. Did the worksheet show tax yet? I'd rather be boring and correct. I'll poke at it this weekend.

Asking because it changes the advice: Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2015 BMW 335i does it — then decide on parts. Save the big job until that test fails. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. Only after sitting overnight so far.

I'd want a measurement, not a hunch. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2015 BMW 335i, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Verbal 'we'll take care of it' is not a plan. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Agree — and I'd add this: Move a coil or plug on the 2015 BMW 335i if it's cylinder-specific and see whether the code follows. Save the big job until that test fails. I went back under the 2015 BMW 335i and it only happens after a heat soak, not on a cold start. Parking it somewhere I can hear it better next time.

That's a good start, but I wouldn't stop there. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2015 BMW 335i is losing coolant with no puddle. Save the big job until that test fails. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. Checking again after work.

Checked the easy stuff on the 2015 BMW 335i and found one clue worth chasing before I book a shop. Heat soak after errands is the other window.
