2015 BMW 335i — ticking noise follows RPM but fades when warm

2015 BMW 335i, about 36,000 miles. There is a light ticking sound that follows engine speed for the first few minutes and then becomes hard to hear. Oil level is correct. How would you separate normal injector noise from valvetrain noise? If I figure it out I will update the thread. I am trying not to assume the first explanation I see online.

Ask what changed right before it started. Get a real battery/charging test on the 2015 BMW 335i, not just resting voltage, before blaming a module. That's the branch I'd chase this week. No need to make it theatrical. Not driving it hard until I know more.
