2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS — question: CPO luxury SUV or brand-new mainstream SUV?

Budget works for either a lightly used luxury SUV or a new mainstream model with a full warranty. I'm more worried about three-to-five-year ownership cost and service downtime than the purchase price. How would you compare them? I'd rather test this logically than start replacing parts.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. If one piece looks too good on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, hunt doc fees, accessories, and the APR next. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Had a similar mess a couple years ago and that's what finally sorted it. Not letting add-ons ride along because everyone does.

I'd want competing paper, not competing stories. Ask for out-the-door on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. If they balk, that's your answer. Learned this the expensive way on a previous car. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

I'd slow the salesperson down here. I would not wire money until I've seen the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and the title situation in person or via a trusted PPI. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Happy to compare notes if your setup is different. If the VIN lookup is clean I'm still doing PPI.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. This is me being the wet blanket on purpose.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. On “question: cpo luxury suv or brand-new mainstream,” that was the fork that mattered for me. If you share a photo of the worksheet, easier to sanity-check. I screenshotted the quote for later.
