2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee — car died once at a light and restarted immediately — anyone dealt with this recently?

The engine shut off at a stop once, restarted right away, and has been normal since. No warning stayed on. What data or checks would you prioritize before trusting it on a long trip?

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Loaded-suspension checks on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. That's the branch I'd chase this week. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Trying not to diagnose from the couch.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. Save the big job until that test fails. On “car died once at a light and,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Run the total, not the monthly, before you commit. If that fails I'll eat the diagnostic fee.
