2018 BMW 340i — buzzing noise only at one engine RPM

2018 BMW 340i xDrive, about 70,500 miles. There is a light buzz from the dash at one narrow RPM range. It disappears above and below that speed. Any good method for locating trim resonance without randomly adding foam everywhere? I am trying to get the facts straight before spending money.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. A pressure test beats staring at a dry driveway if the 2018 BMW 340i is losing coolant with no puddle. That's the branch I'd chase this week. When does it actually happen? I refuse to clear codes until someone else sees them.

This is usually cheaper to test than to guess. Two 2018 BMW 340is can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2018 BMW 340i in Texas with 70,500 miles. When does it actually happen? Wrote this up on my lunch break.

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. Two 2018 BMW 340is can feel identical and have different causes, so measure before you copy someone else's repair. That's the branch I'd chase this week. On “buzzing noise only at one engine rpm,” that was the fork that mattered for me. I'd want a dollar figure or a measured spec, not 'should be fine.' That's my plan before I call anyone.
