2018 BMW 340i — history report shows a minor accident with no details

Vehicle-history report lists a minor accident several years ago but does not describe the repair. Paint looks okay in photos.

PPI is scheduled. I'm not depositing until I see the 2018 BMW 340i notes. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Don't send a deposit on a phone quote. Two 2018 BMW 340i quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. Screenshot the worksheet if you can. Was this after sitting overnight? If the story changes I'll post the new data.

Get the messy numbers in writing first. GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2018 BMW 340i numbers without them. If they balk, that's your answer. On “history report shows a minor accident with,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. If they get vague again I'm shopping the deal elsewhere.

Agree — and I'd add this: GAP, paint, and nitrogen are optional until you run the 2018 BMW 340i numbers without them. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.

The trap is a pretty payment hiding a worse car price. Two 2018 BMW 340i quotes only help if both include tax, title, and the same options. That's the part that actually changes the decision. When does it actually happen? Going to compare one more dealer before I decide.

Coming back with numbers — insurance in Detroit changed the 2018 BMW 340i comparison more than the sale price did. Not wiring anything in the meantime.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. A written buyer’s order on the 2018 BMW 340i is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” If they balk, that's your answer. Stop there until you know. I'll post OTD once I have two apples-to-apples sheets.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: A written buyer’s order on the 2018 BMW 340i is worth more than any verbal “we’ll make it work.” Do that before you talk monthly again. On “history report shows a minor accident with,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Not gospel, but it saved me a headache. I screenshotted the quote for later.

Agree — and I'd add this: Ask for out-the-door on the 2018 BMW 340i with fees, add-ons, and rate on separate lines. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Did the worksheet show tax yet? Might be overthinking it, but I'd rather overthink than overspend.
