2018 Cadillac CTS-V — driver seat clicks during left-right transitions

I can feel a small click through the seat base in corners. Mounting bolts appear tight and power functions work. How do you isolate rail play versus the frame or motor mechanism?

Intermittent stuff lies if you only catch it once. If a shop can't duplicate it on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V, bring a video plus freeze-frame data, not just a story. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. On “v — driver seat clicks during left-right,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Do that first. Cold start is when I can actually reproduce it.

I wouldn't throw parts yet. Swap the cheap/easy piece first on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V and see if the fault moves. If the cheap test changes it, stop and reassess. Did the worksheet show tax yet? If this is nothing, great. I want that in data.

It did v — driver seat clicks during left-right twice this week, both times after sitting. No change in mileage feel. Next check is the cheap one I can do in a driveway.

Fair point. Counterpoint: Loaded-suspension checks on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V catch play that a wheels-hanging inspection misses. Save the big job until that test fails. This is from a 2018 Cadillac CTS-V in Los Angeles. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. I'd rather pay for diagnosis than a second guess-repair.

Start with the test that can prove you wrong. Write temp, speed, and in-gear vs coast when the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V does it — then decide on parts. That's the branch I'd chase this week. When does it actually happen? I'd rather look cautious in this thread than stuck later.
