2018 Cadillac CTS-V — extended warranty on a used luxury car

2018 Cadillac CTS-V, about 70,500 miles. I am buying a used luxury car just outside factory warranty. Dealer is offering a service contract that is not cheap. What exclusions, labor caps, deductibles and claim rules should I read before deciding? I would rather test this logically than replace parts.

Hard-won lesson from my last deal: Call your insurer in New Jersey before you fall in love with the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V. Do that before you talk monthly again. On “v — extended warranty on a used,” that was the fork that mattered for me. Post the numbers (or the code) and people can get more specific. I asked for the buyer’s order in email, not a text.

OP here. Still looking, but I'm waiting on inspection notes before I send money on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V. I'll update if anything new shows up.

Compare apples to apples or you'll get spun. Keep sale price, trade, and financing split on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V so a “good payment” cannot bury a worse deal. I'd rather lose the car than buy a foggy deal. Time, temperature, and whether it's in gear are the notes that actually help a shop. Not trying to scare you — just skip the expensive first guess. Going to re-read the worksheet tonight.
